One week ago, Google provided some interesting insights into their projects and technologies. They called this event the Google Developer Day 2008, which addressed - of course - developers.

Since I didn’t have the chance to play around with Google frameworks yet, I thought this might be perfect for me to get an overview and started right away. In this spirit, I was listening to presentations about the Google App Engine, GWT, and Gears. Whereas, GWT and Gears seem to be a closer look worth in the next few weeks.

The atmosphere was quite relaxed as you might see in the pictures and Google provided free catering. We also had the chance to talk to Google developers. So, after all: totally worth and maybe next year again.
